Dominique ehrhard
Born in Mulhouse in 1958
"The seduction exerted by Dominique Ehrhard's painting, the generosity of its material, its warm tones, its reminiscent shapes are only an invitation to approach gently, to even wait, to soak up the work, because this is not given straight away. He attaches great importance to the processes of visual transformation, to the cogs that the gaze activates while passing from one form to another, striving to retain from the constraints or rules chosen only the singularities, the exceptions. In this, his proposals oscillate between the gravity of a canvas by Chirico and the playful insolence of a Carelman or a Tristan Bastit, merry drilles of the Potential Painting Opener. ”
